The Chinese Arch was constructed in 1986 following our appointment by Greater Manchester Council to construct this iconic landmark

UNITE, Student Accommodation, Bristol

This project comprised of the construction of 484 self-contained bedrooms in cluster Flats and Studio apartments over 8 storeys with D2 space and refurbished a public thoroughfare. The site, was the Former ‘Bristol Entertainment Centre, the Ice Rink was removed with the O2 Academy remaining operational throughout the works. Hovington were employed part way through the project due to the initial groundworks contractor being unable to complete the works.

MSDP Redevelopment, Liverpool

This project showcased the full range of Hovington’s capabilities taking the scheme from initial demolition of the existing former school building to the site remediation & enabling works package and then continuing with the full groundworks package for the new build Aldi, M&S Food Hall and the new Merseyside Society for Deaf People Headquarters Building.

Sainsburys Store Extension, Shorehead, Huddersfield

Extension & remodelling of an existing live superstore, in a high profile town centre location. The store remained open throughout the main construction phase, with a stipulation to optimise parking provision & minimise customer disruption throughout the project.

Sainsbury’s Store Reconstruction, Nantwich

Comprised the off-line construction of a new 80,000 sq feet sales area superstore on the site of an existing live store that remained open throughout the main construction phase and adjacent land acquired by the client, with phased demolition of the existing store & reconfiguration of the new car parking for the final scheme

Sainsburys Store Extension, Halifax

Extension & remodelling of an existing live superstore, located in a high profile town centre on the sides of a steep valley with suspended slab construction to suit the topography of the site & space at a premium. The store remained open throughout the main construction phase, with a stipulation to maintain 90% of all parking throughout the project.
